Australia v Pakistan: Pat Cummins leads hosts to tense win in Melbourne
Pat Cummins has led Australia to a dramatic one-wicket win over Pakistan in the first Test in Melbourne.
The Aussies were set a target of 351 to win, and they looked to be cruising to victory at 2-150.
However, Pakistan fought back, taking 8-100 to leave Australia 10-349 with just one wicket remaining.
But Cummins and Nathan Lyon held their nerve to guide Australia home with just two balls to spare.
The win gives Australia a 1-0 lead in the three-Test series.
Cummins was the hero for Australia, scoring 33 not out and taking 4-79 with the ball.
He was ably supported by Lyon, who took 3-69.
For Pakistan, Babar Azam was the standout performer, scoring 136 in the first innings.
But it was not enough to prevent Australia from winning the match.
The second Test will be played in Adelaide starting on December 15.
