AP chapter to host events to raise awareness on Tuesday
Local Asian Pacific American Advocates chapter to hold events in Little Tokyo, Los Angeles
“Get Out the Vote: Every Vote Counts” and “Stop Asian Hate” Events set for Tuesday, May 24th
The local chapter of Asian Pacific American Advocates (APAA) will be holding two events in Little Tokyo, Los Angeles on Tuesday, May 24th to raise awareness about the importance of voting and to stop Asian hate.
The first event, “Get Out the Vote: Every Vote Counts,” will be held from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Japanese American National Museum.
The second event, “Stop Asian Hate,” will be held the same day from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Little Tokyo Branch Library.
The APAA is a non-profit organization that advocates for the civil rights of Asian Pacific Americans. The local chapter is based in Los Angeles.
The “Get Out the Vote: Every Vote Counts” event is designed to encourage Asian Pacific American voters to register to vote and to participate in the upcoming elections.
The “Stop Asian Hate” event will address the recent surge in hate crimes against Asian Americans.
