Sikander Bakht replaces Abdullah Shafique in Pakistan's ODI squad for Australia series
Shafique injured, Bakht called up as replacement
Pakistan's ODI squad for the upcoming series against Australia has been announced, with Sikander Bakht replacing the injured Abdullah Shafique.
Shafique, who was originally named in the squad, has been ruled out due to a shoulder injury. Bakht, who has played 10 ODIs for Pakistan, has been called up as his replacement.
The 27-year-old Bakht has been in good form for Northern in the ongoing Quaid-e-Azam Trophy, scoring 502 runs in six matches at an average of 50.20.
The three-match ODI series between Pakistan and Australia will be played in Rawalpindi on March 29, 31 and April 2.
Mohammad Rizwan to lead Pakistan in ODIs
Mohammad Rizwan will lead Pakistan in the ODI series against Australia, with Babar Azam rested.
Rizwan has been in excellent form for Pakistan in recent months, scoring centuries in each of his last three ODI innings.
The 29-year-old Rizwan is one of the best wicketkeeper-batsmen in the world, and he will be looking to lead Pakistan to victory in the ODI series against Australia.
