PCB Set Up Local Training Camp for Players Ahead of Australia Tour
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has set up a local training camp for the national team players ahead of their tour of Australia.
The camp will be held from September 15 to 25 at the National Cricket Academy in Lahore. The players will undergo intense training sessions under the supervision of head coach Saqlain Mushtaq and his support staff.
The camp will focus on the following areas:
- Physical fitness
- Technical skills
- Tactical awareness
- Team bonding
The players will also play a couple of practice matches against a local team to get match practice ahead of the tour.
PCB chief selector Mohammad Wasim said that the camp is an important part of the team's preparation for the Australia tour.
"The camp will provide the players with an opportunity to work on their skills and fitness under the guidance of the coaching staff," Wasim said.
"We are confident that the players will benefit from the camp and will be well-prepared for the challenges of the Australia tour."
The Pakistan team will leave for Australia on September 29. They will play three Tests, three One-Day Internationals, and one Twenty20 International against Australia.
The Test series will be played in Perth, Melbourne, and Sydney. The ODI series will be played in Brisbane, Adelaide, and Perth. The T20I will be played in Canberra.
The Pakistan team will be looking to perform well on the tour and improve their ranking in the ICC Test and ODI rankings.
