Mandi: 21st Century Skill Summit was organized by the District Administration Mandi under the able guidance of Deputy Commissioner Mandi, Sh. Apurva Devgan, and District Employment Officer, Mandi Sh. Raj Kumar Katoch at the historic Mandi Town Hall on 9th September 2023.

In this programme, the students of various educational institutions of the district participated. The main objective of organizing this summit was to provide a platform to the students of the district, so that they can get full information about various skill training programs and career opportunities available after 10th and 12th.

The Deputy Commissioner, Mandi, Sh. Apurva Devgan, while addressing the students on the occasion, said that the 21st Century Skill Summit is being organized for the first time in the district, and through this, the students are being provided information about various skill training programs and career opportunities.

Other Events

Besides this, information was also given to the students about employment schemes being run by the Government of India, including Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana 3.0, National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme, DDU-GKY and Mukhya Mantri Swavalamban Yojana and the process of online registration in these schemes.

At the end of the programme, the Deputy Commissioner, Mandi, Sh. Apurva Devgan, interacted with the students and answered their questions. He urged the students to take maximum advantage of such programs to build a better future for themselves.

The District Employment Officer, Mandi, Sh. Raj Kumar Katoch, thanked the Deputy Commissioner, Mandi, Sh. Apurva Devgan, and all the participating educational institutions for making this programme a success.

The program was conducted by Ms. Anjali Verma, Project Manager, DISHA, and a vote of thanks was proposed by Mr. Aman, a student of Government Senior Secondary School, Thunag. All the principals and career counselors of various educational institutions of the district and officers and employees of the District Employment Office were present on the occasion.
