Rohit Sharma holds the record for scoring the most runs in a calendar year for India in T20 Internationals. He scored 1344 runs in 24 matches in 2022. Suryakumar Yadav has so far scored 1164 runs in 25 matches this year. He needs 181 runs more to break Rohit's record.

Suryakumar Yadav will get a chance to break this record in the upcoming three-match T20 series against South Africa. The first match of the series will be played in Thiruvananthapuram on September 28.
